NASA Johnson Space Center
For more than 50 years, NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, better known as, JSC, in Houston continues to be a world leader in human exploration, discovery, and achievement. The center’s $1.5 billion complex occupies 1,620 acres southeast of down Houston, in the Clear Lake area. JSC is also the home of mission control and astronaut training. In the past, the center led several projects and was home to NASA’s Space Shuttle Program from 1981 to 2011. The center is now one of NASA’s largest research and development facilities.
